  JWN did not appeal to me at first!

  when realizing something was wrong with the org, i searched online of course.

  this was the first site i came across.

  the reason why it didn't appeal to me was because it was mostly personal experiences.

  The Mormon 'Miracle'

  i grew up in the mormon state, so i can attest this as true.

  the state bird is the seagull, a disgusting, bullying, messy and annoying scavenger.

  there are zillions of seagulls around the great salt lake, just a few miles north of salt lake city.. why is it the state bird and why does killing one of those flying rodents bring on a fine of $100?

  When there are extaordinarily large punitive damages awarded from a jury (to send a resounding message)- $21 million-as they did to the WTBTS in Candace Conti's case, it is not unusual for the damages to be decreased. Compensatory damages are altogether different.

  One of the dumbest things I ever did in my early witness days, was to allow a C.O.'s opinion become the deciding factor against my employer's offer of furthering my education. I did not solicit the C.O.'s opinion at all- that was the doing of the person who was conducting my study.

  The C.o. said that it would interfere with my weekly meetings and my spirituality, etc. And that was that. Of course, sometime later, a group of MS brothers, started taking night courses to advance their knowledge in computers and no one said a word!

  The impact of allowing the C.O.'s interference to make a life decision, altered the course my life would take.

  First shunning, now love bombing

  i had mentioned in an earlier thread that brother and sister hoser were being unofficially shunned at the kingdom hall.

  now i think that they realize it is not having the.

  desired results( we are quite happy on our own, and have done a few things with our non-jw neighbors).. .

  I've yet to know a smiling, truly happy witness- on the inside. It's all a plastic veneer.

  I never thought about it too much, but I have been love-bombed!!! It never moved me. It always felt insincere.

  So glad to know you are happy, Hoser!
